This intermediate level training course is designed to refamiliarise you/help you upskill your bat identification and bat handling knowledge and skills. It will cover the following:
This non-residential training course, will take place over a weekend in August and will include:
The fee will include course tuition tea/coffee throughout the daytime and dinner on the Saturday evening at the Willows Café, Virginia, Co. Cavan. A menu will be provided for people to pick their main course and dessert options. Please note that accommodation is not included in the course fee.
Dates: 11-13 August 2023
Registration: Friday 11th August 2023, between 5-6pm (Course will finish by 1pm on Sunday 13th August 2023)
Location: Agricultural Show Grounds, Virginia, Co. Cavan
Once you register for the course, a Bat Conservation Ireland team member will be in touch, to gather details on your experience level in relation to bat identification level and experience. A certificate of attendance will be provided post course completion. All presentations will be provided in PDF version for course participants.
IMPORTANT: Bat Conservation Ireland recommends that any person handling bats have an up to-date Rabies Vaccination and a copy of this documentation will be required to be lodged with Bat Conservation Ireland prior to attendance.
