An all-Ireland charity that promotes the conservation of bats and their habitats
Join us to celebrate National Heritage Week by learning more about the value of Louth’s Parks to our natural heritage.
Led by Anna Collins from Bat Conservation Ireland, we will explore St. Helena’s Park in Dundalk town centre. Using special bat detecting equipment we can find out what species can be found nesting and feeding in the area.
We will learn about the important role that bats play, where they might roost and what we can do to support and raise awareness of the value of our brilliant bats.
This is a free event and suitable for adults and children aged 7+. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
This event is wather dependent and may have to be rescheduled if there is heavy rain or high winds.
Booking is essential as places are limited. To book please email: biodiversity@louthcoco.ie stating the number of adult and child spaces you would like to reserve providing a contact phone number.
When you book you will receive a confirmation email with event details including the meeting point and what you need to bring.
