An all-Ireland charity that promotes the conservation of bats and their habitats
Join Bat Conservation Ireland in Foxford, for a batty fun-filled evening! At 9.00pm at Foxford Social Services, Church Road, meet Mary Roberts who will first give a talk introducing Irish bats and then lead a bat walk in the area. Using bat detectors you can listen in on their ultrasonic calls and watch these elusive creatures in flight. Mary will explain more about their life cycle as the walk progresses and identify any species you encounter.
This event is free and open to all. It is being held as part of Biodiversity Week 2019. Co-organisers are Foxford Foróige.
Please wear sturdy footwear and warm outdoor clothing and bring a torch. Children welcome if accompanied by an adult.
