An all-Ireland charity that promotes the conservation of bats and their habitats
Composer Fiona Linnane and the Limerick Bat Group will lead a creative session exploring how we can learn to really tune in to the sounds around us and respond to them in a creative way, including the calls of the bats of Curraghchase. All materials will be provided. Suitable for all ages (however, if booking for children you may prefer to attend the earlier family friendly event at 6pm)
Following this session you will be invited to explore a new installation among the trees. Wander the path and listen to the stories of all things batty from Limerick Bat Group and composer Fiona Linnane. You may even hear the weird and wonderful call of the charismatic Lesser Horseshoe!
To complete the evening, Limerick Bat Group’s Albert Nolan will lead a bat walk through the park, including the opportunity to learn how to use bat detectors.
This is an outdoor event so wear suitable clothing and footwear. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
You must book a place to attend this event. Please book your ticket here: Bats of Curraghchase Tickets, Fri 19 Aug 2022 at 20:00 | Eventbrite
