An all-Ireland charity that promotes the conservation of bats and their habitats
Join us in Castletown, Co. Laois for a batty fun-filled evening! At 8.45pm Anna Collins of Kildare Bat Group will lead a bat walk from the bridge over the River Nore. Using bat detectors you can listen in on their ultrasonic calls and watch these elusive creatures in flight. Anna will describe some of the Irish species and their life cycle as the walk progresses.
This event is free and open to all. It is being held as part of Heritage Week 2019.
Please wear sturdy footwear and warm outdoor clothing and bring a torch. Children welcome if accompanied by an adult. Sorry, no dogs. Please email kildarebatgroup@gmail.com if you would like to come along.
