An all-Ireland charity that promotes the conservation of bats and their habitats
Dark Sky Ireland, in collaboration with Leave No Trace Ireland, the Irish Environmental Network, Mayo Dark Sky Park and Mayo Bat Group, invite you to join them during Biodiversity Week for a FREE fun and information evening.
As the night draws in, the evening will start with some information on Ireland’s 9 species of Bats, and the importance of keeping ecological corridors intact for our wildlife.
Members of Dark Sky Ireland and the Mayo Dark Skies project will join to explain Mayo’s goal for a dark sky county reserve and to present tools and tips for stargazing when skies are clear. The evening will be combined with an easy walk, listening for bats and and if the opportunity allows, a little stargazing.
If you require further information, please reach out to info@darksky.ie.
This event is free and open to all. It is being held as part of Biodiversity Week 2024.
